What counts as a render
A render is a request to the production OG image URL:
https://opengraphly.com/api/og/YOUR_TEMPLATE_IDRequests can come from:
- Social network crawlers generating a link preview.
- Messaging apps such as Slack or Discord.
- Browsers or monitoring tools opening the image URL directly.
- Your own site or integration if it fetches the image.
The editor's dedicated preview endpoint is separate from the production image URL and is intended for checking your design while editing.
Monthly counting
Free accounts can render 100 images in each usage period. The count resets 30 days after the current period began.
When the free limit is reached, production renders stop until the count resets or the account upgrades to Pro.
Template limit
Free accounts can keep one template. You can edit that template as often as you like. Creating a second template requires Pro.
Deleting the existing template frees the slot, but any site using its old image URL will no longer have a valid template to render.
Upgrade to Pro
Select Upgrade from the templates dashboard or Upgrade to Pro in Settings. You will be sent to Stripe Checkout to start the £3.50/month subscription.
After checkout completes, Opengraphly updates the account to Pro. Your existing templates and URLs stay exactly the same.
Manage billing
Pro users can select Manage billing in Settings to open the Stripe customer portal. From there you can:
- Update payment details.
- View invoices.
- Cancel the subscription.
If a payment fails, Settings shows a past_due warning and a link to update billing details.
Cancelling
When the subscription is cancelled, the account returns to Free. If you have more than one template or have exceeded the free render allowance, limits apply again.
